Remove kndl from a machine, and choose whether its data goes too.
-
In the web UI, archive or delete the Sessions on this machine’s Runner. A Session still running keeps its Sandbox after kndl is gone.
-
Uninstall:
Terminal window kndl uninstall # keep the datakndl uninstall --purge # remove the data tooIt lists what it removes and asks first. Without a terminal, pass
--yes.
What goes, and what stays
Section titled “What goes, and what stays”kndl uninstall | kndl uninstall --purge | |
|---|---|---|
| The Hub’s and Runner’s services | Removed | Removed |
The kndl command, ~/.local/bin/kndl | Removed | Removed |
The install, ~/.kndl/app | Removed | Removed |
hub.env, runner.env, hub.db, sessions/, logs/ in ~/.kndl | Kept | Removed |
Without --purge, install kndl again and run kndl onboard, and the Hub and Runner pick up where they left off.
Two things stay either way:
- Bun, if the installer added it, in
~/.bun. - The
PATHline the installer added to your shell’s startup file, marked# kndl: PATH. Delete it by hand.
On a Hub, uninstalling doesn’t remove its Runners on other machines. Remove each one from the Runners page, then uninstall kndl on its machine.
